When the Machine is Broken / by Britt Haraway

My friend listening to a song in the car once said, "sometimes I feel this way."  I think a character or two in this collection of stories might say that about this song by the Magnetic Tapes.  Sometimes they are staring down at their body, sizing up their ability to make lasting and meaningful connections, their heart, but they wonder if they can do it.  With this particular equipment....Well of course the can.  But they are staring up at a ten foot basketball goal, and they know that some people will never be able to dunk.

A cover of The Magnetic Fields' song. Not much different to the original, but it's more an homage.

I first heard this band during the Break Up episode of This American Life.  Break up advice from Phil Collins in the first full segment.
